Sharon says that she feels like a stranger in today’s world. The fast-paced, synthetic digital world doesn’t move her. She has always been drawn to the simplicity of the past - something in the style, in the nostalgic charm, has always pulled her in. She believes that beauty lies in classical, unrefined, and simple elements and tends to seek traces of what once was - fragments of the old and the fading in the world around her. In her works, saturated with layers, she combines classic and nostalgic motifs and images, featuring nature, women, birds, and more - all of which uplift the spirit and stir a deep sense of emotion and longing for something just out of reach. Her style can be described as abstract realism, incorporating surreal and romantic elements. Sharon derives her inspiration from songs, old movie posters, record covers, vintage photos, westerns and more.
