Tears of Light

I create from my inner world, and the face is always my starting point. It develops intuitively, guiding me toward a story that gradually reveals itself throughout the creative process. With each painting, I embark on a journey without knowing where it will lead me. In this work, I wanted to express the complexity of human emotion. The figure is crying, yet the tears are not only tears of sorrow. They also speak of joy, hope, and the ability to recognize the beauty that continues to exist even in life's most difficult moments. The background, filled with flowers and vibrant yellow, symbolizes life, growth, and optimism, while the red lips remind us that even within sensitivity and vulnerability, there is strength, presence, and the will to keep living. I hope that everyone who encounters this work can recognize a part of themselves within it and feel that they are not alone. For me, this painting is a reminder that no single emotion defines who we are. We are capable of feeling pain and wonder, crying and smiling, being fragile while also full of life. Sometimes, it is precisely our ability to hold all of these emotions at once that allows us to see the beauty that surrounds us.
