Near Nitzana, Heading to Mitzpe Ramon
The road to Mitzpe Ramon unfolds across a breathtaking, serene landscape beneath vast blue skies, with soft white clouds drifting over pale sand hills and a small cluster of trees at the center. The oil on linen creates a soft, refined surface, where layered brushstrokes leave the edges airy and atmospheric. The restrained palette and open expanse lend the artwork a calm, gentle presence.

My artistic approach is based on stain painting using a method of creative release, the technique through which I learned to paint and which I apply in my own art and with my students. I paint both from observation and imagination, with my main subjects being the landscapes of my childhood, moving between Kibbutz Magen in the western Negev and Jerusalem, where I was born. My work combines different media, mainly oil on canvas and linen, pastels, watercolor, and gouache. Each medium allows me room to search and wander creatively, giving me the freedom to express painterly stains, release, and vibrant color in its own distinct way.
