Blue Green Horizon
The artwork is framed in a white wooden floating frame. Sweeping bands of blue, green, violet, and pale yellow suggest an abstracted horizon, with light breaking across the surface in brisk diagonal passages. Oil on canvas gives the painting a layered, tactile feel, shifting between soft blends and more decisive scraped or dragged marks. The result is atmospheric and contemplative, with enough energy to hold the eye at close range.

אסתריקה אגסי כהן במסגרת
My artistic approach is based on stain painting using a method of creative release, the technique through which I learned to paint and which I apply in my own art and with my students. I paint both from observation and imagination, with my main subjects being the landscapes of my childhood, moving between Kibbutz Magen in the western Negev and Jerusalem, where I was born. My work combines different media, mainly oil on canvas and linen, pastels, watercolor, and gouache. Each medium allows me room to search and wander creatively, giving me the freedom to express painterly stains, release, and vibrant color in its own distinct way.
