Garden Path and Trees
A softly observed landscape shows a pale path curving through a stand of trees beneath a bright, lightly clouded sky. Oil on fabric gives the surface a gentle weave, while layered, blended brushwork keeps the foliage atmospheric rather than sharply defined. The result is calm and pastoral, with warm green and ochre notes that suit a quiet corner or study.

My artistic approach is based on stain painting using a method of creative release, the technique through which I learned to paint and which I apply in my own art and with my students. I paint both from observation and imagination, with my main subjects being the landscapes of my childhood, moving between Kibbutz Magen in the western Negev and Jerusalem, where I was born. My work combines different media, mainly oil on canvas and linen, pastels, watercolor, and gouache. Each medium allows me room to search and wander creatively, giving me the freedom to express painterly stains, release, and vibrant color in its own distinct way.
