The Olive Grove Path
A wide-trunked olive tree anchors the left side of a free-spirited landscape, facing a row of smaller olive trees receding into expanses of pink, green, and light blue. Layers of mixed media on canvas create rough foliage, gestural marks, and transitions between opaque color and airy areas. The asymmetric composition is quiet and spacious, making it especially suitable for a living room, dining area, or office.

My artistic approach is based on stain painting using a method of creative release, the technique through which I learned to paint and which I apply in my own art and with my students. I paint both from observation and imagination, with my main subjects being the landscapes of my childhood, moving between Kibbutz Magen in the western Negev and Jerusalem, where I was born. My work combines different media, mainly oil on canvas and linen, pastels, watercolor, and gouache. Each medium allows me room to search and wander creatively, giving me the freedom to express painterly stains, release, and vibrant color in its own distinct way.
