Mother and Child in Green

A seated woman turns her gaze toward the viewer while a child rests against her back, wrapped together in layered blue-gray fabric against a luminous green ground. Painted in oil on canvas, the work combines softened modeling with expressive brushwork and floral patterning in the garment, giving the portrait warmth, gravity, and a strong human presence.
