The Sunset Where It All Began

This is one of the first photographs I took at the beginning of my artistic journey, and it holds deep emotional value for me. While walking back to my car, I noticed a special moment when the branch on the left aligned almost perfectly with the shapes of the clouds in the sky, above an endless carpet of seashells and the sun setting on the horizon. I stopped and captured the moment. It was a spontaneous, unplanned scene in which nature created an extraordinary composition. Since then, I have tried to recreate that moment from the exact same spot, but I have never succeeded. For me, this photograph symbolizes the beginning of my artistic journey and the ability to discover extraordinary beauty in small, fleeting moments. It is a deeply personal image that preserves a unique, once-in-a-lifetime moment that has never repeated itself.

Eli Zahuri | Fine Art Photography from a Different Perspective Eli Zahuri is a Jerusalem-based fine art photographer who was born and raised in Moshav Nes Harim, in the Jerusalem Hills, where his deep love for nature and landscapes first developed. Eli is a self-taught photographer who has never studied photography professionally. He developed his distinctive style through creative vision and natural intuition. His artistic approach is to momentarily challenge the eye and mind through unconventional camera angles and optical illusions, encouraging viewers to pause, look more closely, and question what they are actually seeing. Some of his photographs are taken through tiny openings and cavities in rocks, which, through carefully chosen perspectives, are transformed into entire worlds and landscapes that appear far larger than they are in reality. His photographs are not digitally edited. The visual effects are achieved through camera angles, perspective, and natural light. His work has received enthusiastic responses and encouragement on social media, and some of his photographs have even served as inspiration for painters. Eli often gives his works poetic titles and names, adding another layer of imagination and interpretation to the visual experience. His aspiration is to share his work with a wider audience, exhibit his photographs in art galleries, and continue developing his distinctive artistic language.
