A Breakwater Washed Ashore

₪1,840

An original nature photograph creating an optical illusion through a low and unconventional camera angle. A very small piece of wood, densely covered with goose barnacles, appears like a massive breakwater washed ashore. The perspective creates a surprising sense of scale and depth, while the beach, waves, and sky in the background enhance the illusion. The image invites viewers to pause, look closer, and discover how a tiny natural object can resemble an enormous structure. Original, unedited photograph.

Eli Zahuri | Fine Art Photography from a Different Perspective Eli Zahuri is a Jerusalem-based fine art photographer who was born and raised in Moshav Nes Harim, in the Jerusalem Hills, where his deep love for nature and landscapes first developed. Eli is a self-taught photographer who has never studied photography professionally. He developed his distinctive style through creative vision and natural intuition. His artistic approach is to momentarily challenge the eye and mind through unconventional camera angles and optical illusions, encouraging viewers to pause, look more closely, and question what they are actually seeing. Some of his photographs are taken through tiny openings and cavities in rocks, which, through carefully chosen perspectives, are transformed into entire worlds and landscapes that appear far larger than they are in reality. His photographs are not digitally edited. The visual effects are achieved through camera angles, perspective, and natural light. His work has received enthusiastic responses and encouragement on social media, and some of his photographs have even served as inspiration for painters. Eli often gives his works poetic titles and names, adding another layer of imagination and interpretation to the visual experience. His aspiration is to share his work with a wider audience, exhibit his photographs in art galleries, and continue developing his distinctive artistic language.
