The Seashell Ferry

Eli zahuri

₪2,000

Nature photography taken from a low and unconventional angle, through small openings in a rock that create an optical illusion of a ferry made of stone. The rock formations resemble figures and animal heads, and each viewer may discover something different in them. The openings reveal the sky and sea, while the shells in the foreground enhance the sense of depth and scale. The photograph invites viewers to use their imagination and see nature from a different perspective. Original, unedited photograph.

Eli Zahuri | Fine Art Photography from a Different Perspective Eli Zahuri is a Jerusalem-based fine art photographer who was born and raised in Moshav Nes Harim, in the Jerusalem Hills, where his deep love for nature and landscapes first developed. Eli is a self-taught photographer who has never studied photography professionally. He developed his distinctive style through creative vision and natural intuition. His artistic approach is to momentarily challenge the eye and mind through unconventional camera angles and optical illusions, encouraging viewers to pause, look more closely, and question what they are actually seeing. Some of his photographs are taken through tiny openings and cavities in rocks, which, through carefully chosen perspectives, are transformed into entire worlds and landscapes that appear far larger than they are in reality. His photographs are not digitally edited. The visual effects are achieved through camera angles, perspective, and natural light. His work has received enthusiastic responses and encouragement on social media, and some of his photographs have even served as inspiration for painters. Eli often gives his works poetic titles and names, adding another layer of imagination and interpretation to the visual experience. His aspiration is to share his work with a wider audience, exhibit his photographs in art galleries, and continue developing his distinctive artistic language.
