Rutie Kohen

$987

A narrow stone path climbs through layered rock formations, leading toward wind-shaped trees and a pale stretch of water. Acrylic on canvas builds the rugged surfaces through fine linear details, mottled foliage, and restrained layers of gray, ochre, brown, and deep green. The rising composition creates a quiet sense of discovery suited to a hallway, office, or contemplative living space.

Rutie Kohen

Rutie Kohen was born and raised in Netanya. After getting married, she moved to Petah Tikva, where she raised her three children. For three decades, she dedicated her professional life to education, working as both a teacher and a school principal. Upon retiring, a new chapter began as she turned her attention to the world of art. Her artistic journey began with the study and exploration of various Folk Art styles. Over time, she gradually moved beyond structured forms and conventions, embracing a freer and more intuitive approach to painting. Through this process, she developed a personal artistic language that allows her the freedom to explore subjects, colors, and forms of expression in her own distinctive way.
