Faces in Counterpoint
Two overlapping faces emerge from a dense arrangement of black contours, pale fields, turquoise passages, and coral-pink strokes. Gestural acrylic brushwork alternates between broad, textured applications and searching linear marks, allowing the canvas grain to remain active throughout. The compressed composition creates an energetic, psychologically charged presence suited to a contemporary living room, office, or hallway.

Since childhood, color has always been a significant part of me. I used it to express my emotions and my inner world. Painting is where I channel my energies and this is what leads to the flow of the shapes on the canvas. After the initial explosion of paint, I continue to discover hidden images and so the dialogue between me and the painting continues. I use many types of different materials including some from the building world (such as a spatula), and a whole new world is discovered with many living layers. This is a free spiritual process that does not intentionally lead to a specific result. Painting is an expression of my inner soul through which I resonate to the outer world.
