A line of tall, dark cypress trees rises across rolling fields, with long bands of shadow cutting through the slope below located in the beautiful Tuscany - Italy. Executed in pen and ink on paper, the drawing uses crisp contour, crosshatching, and open white space to build depth with remarkable economy. The result is quiet, graphic, and contemplative.
