There was a boy
A black-and-white portrait emerges from the lower section of a tall cardboard collage, framed by torn bands and exposed corrugated ridges. The mixed media construction uses layered carton, printed text, and cut photographic imagery to build relief, rhythm, and contrast. Its raw surface and icon-like circular form create a contemplative, quietly powerful presence.

Orlovsky Yarden
Yarden Orlovsky is an actress, voice artist, and cultural institution manager. She began creating collages during sleepless nights in wartime, between air-raid sirens, out of a need to find quiet and focus amid a period of uncertainty. All of her works are created from old, dismantled books found abandoned on the street, driven by a desire to work specifically with what already existed and was on the verge of disappearing. Through cutting and reassembling, she gives these materials a new life, creating works centered around figures that move between reality and imagination, connecting the forgotten with the new.
