The Kingfisher

The Kingfisher Alpha plaster, metal, acrylic Part of the triptych STYX: The In-Between, The Kingfisher explores the idea of transition — a state suspended between worlds, forms, and emotional conditions. The sculpture combines organic and architectural elements, balancing between growth and erosion, movement and stillness. The elongated vertical form evokes a fragile monument or a living structure emerging from water, memory, or dream. The layered blue surface suggests fluidity and depth, while the metallic crown-like top introduces a sense of tension, ritual, and transformation. Referencing the kingfisher bird — a symbol often associated with water, precision, and silent observation — the work reflects on moments of passage and inner metamorphosis. The figure appears both rooted and transient, as if existing in a space outside linear time. The triptych STYX: The In-Between, together with other sculptures from the project, is currently exhibited in Tel Aviv
