$659

A crumpled printed sheet and a tilted cup rest against a broad ochre ground, creating a spare still-life composition with strong tonal contrast. The oil on canvas surface is built with visible brushwork, layered passages, and painterly shifts between opaque white, gray, black, and flashes of red and blue. The result feels intimate and slightly raw, balancing everyday subject matter with expressive handling.

yoav peretz

Yoav was born in 1969 and lives in Beit Shemesh. He is an artist who engages and creates across diverse disciplines, including graphic design, art, music, and painting. He works primarily with oil and watercolor paints on various mediums. The inspiration for his paintings comes from his immediate, everyday environment—banal household objects, random moments in urban settings, familiar Israeli landscapes, as well as expressions of music and musicians in his artwork. Yoav finds beauty in simplicity and in the details that often go unnoticed, choosing to give them a stage. His oil paintings are characterized at times by free, loose brushstrokes and at times by precision and attention to detail, while his watercolor works are defined by transparency and fluidity.
