A solitary figure in black passes in profile before a busy shop window, set against layered signs, reflections, and glimpses of the street. Oil on wood gives the scene a firm, slightly tactile surface, with visible brushwork balancing careful observation and painterly simplification. The result is an urban image with quiet tension and a strong sense of everyday presence.

yoav peretz

Yoav was born in 1969 and lives in Beit Shemesh. He is an artist who engages and creates across diverse disciplines, including graphic design, art, music, and painting. He works primarily with oil and watercolor paints on various mediums. The inspiration for his paintings comes from his immediate, everyday environment—banal household objects, random moments in urban settings, familiar Israeli landscapes, as well as expressions of music and musicians in his artwork. Yoav finds beauty in simplicity and in the details that often go unnoticed, choosing to give them a stage. His oil paintings are characterized at times by free, loose brushstrokes and at times by precision and attention to detail, while his watercolor works are defined by transparency and fluidity.
