A clothesline with military uniforms hanging closely together, with a yellowing and green building in the background, creating an intimate and simple façade. Oil on canvas board is handled with brisk, layered brushwork, shifting from scraped passages to thicker strokes that give the surface a lively, tactile rhythm. The restrained palette creates a quiet, contemplative interior-exterior mood.

yoav peretz

Yoav was born in 1969 and lives in Beit Shemesh. He is an artist who engages and creates across diverse disciplines, including graphic design, art, music, and painting. He works primarily with oil and watercolor paints on various mediums. The inspiration for his paintings comes from his immediate, everyday environment—banal household objects, random moments in urban settings, familiar Israeli landscapes, as well as expressions of music and musicians in his artwork. Yoav finds beauty in simplicity and in the details that often go unnoticed, choosing to give them a stage. His oil paintings are characterized at times by free, loose brushstrokes and at times by precision and attention to detail, while his watercolor works are defined by transparency and fluidity.
