I Didn't Try to Understand

A work from a series. The works in this series were not a step along the way. They were not raw material. They were complete when they stood before me, a moment before they disappeared. Each one was created without planning, without organized thought, but from a sense of deep, internal connection. They simply appeared. One after another. From remnants, from an impulse to assemble. The relationship between them emerged from their very existence. Temporary, without language, cobbled together from parts that don't belong. When they fell apart, I felt I had lost them. Now only the photographs remain. And I miss them.
