Between the lines
The diagonal lines and the people between them create a sense of slow-moving flow. However, the placement of the people in the space creates the contrasting feeling of static in motion, just like the contrast of black and white. The black-and-white photography relies on sharp geometry, a rich gradation of grays, which create a subtle tension between the permanent structure and the fleeting human presence. The quiet rhythm would suit a modern living room, office, or hallway.
Ambar Doron
Born in Israel (1957) and resides in Givatayim. He is a father of two—a son and a daughter—and a grandfather of five. A self-taught photographer and a landscape architecture technician by profession, he is currently retired. He has showcased his work in solo exhibitions across Israel, as well as in group exhibitions in Israel, Italy, Spain, Germany, and England. He won third place in a photography competition in Italy and has received numerous nominations and honorable mentions in international photography contests.
