Beneath the Veil

Photograph from a series dedicated to sculptorsโ workshops. The image depicts a sculpture covered with plastic sheeting used to preserve the moisture of the material during the working process. While concealing the form beneath, the plastic becomes a visual subject in its own right: its folds, creases, and reflections create a complex surface resembling drapery or an abstract relief. The photograph focuses on transitional states within the creative process โ moments of suspension when the work remains unfinished and partially inaccessible to the viewer. In this temporary concealment, materiality gains a heightened presence, and the accidental arrangement of shapes becomes part of the visual language of the studio. Like the series as a whole, the work explores human presence through traces of activity rather than through direct representation. Print and presentation: Fine Art Print, matted and framed in wood.
