ז'קו - שתיקה וזיכרון

This is a portrait of Yehuda Poliker's father. I saw a picture of him, heard him sing and felt I had to paint him. Maybe it connects to my father, who also went through the Holocaust, hardly talked about what he went through and whom I didn't have time to paint. He passed away young. The painting is an attempt to give voice to the silence.
