Orly Sibony is an Israeli artist and creator with many years of experience in the field of education. Throughout her life, creativity has been an integral part of her world, expressed through a variety of disciplines including sewing, fashion design, embroidery, knitting, graphic design, and handmade crafts. Sibony is a self-taught artist who has developed her artistic language through continuous exploration, curiosity, and a deep appreciation for materials, color, and texture. She began her artistic journey with watercolor painting and exhibited her works in several exhibitions. Later, she created acrylic paintings for children’s rooms, and today she creates large-scale mixed-media works that combine rich color palettes, layers, and distinctive textures. Her works are inspired by diverse cultures and explore themes of memory, identity, and aesthetics, moving between figurative imagery and abstract compositions. A central element of her artistic language is the use of stencils with a strong material presence, which she creates herself using tile adhesive. The encounter between material, color, and handmade processes creates a personal, layered, and richly textured visual language that has become a defining characteristic of her work.
