About
Vladimir Bindeman is an artist, architect, and educator. Born in Moscow, he has been living and working in the Galilee region of Israel since 2023. He graduated from an art school and the Moscow Architectural Institute. For more than forty years, he has combined architectural practice with painting. He also taught at the V. I. Surikov Moscow State Academic Art Institute. Working primarily in landscape and portrait painting, he uses oil as his main medium. He describes his artistic style as expressive realism rooted in the traditions of the academic school. His work focuses on the emotional perception of nature, light, and human character, conveyed through an expressive painterly language. Since relocating to Israel, the landscapes of the Galilee, the Mediterranean coast, and the country's historic cities have become a significant source of inspiration in his work. He has participated in numerous exhibitions in Russia and Israel, including several solo exhibitions. His works are held in private collections in Russia, Israel, and the United States. The landscape series presented in the gallery, *At First Sight*, was created during his first year after repatriation to Israel and reflects his initial impressions of the country. An artist teaches drawing and painting to children and adults in his studio in Karmiel.
