Shira Marcovich
About
Shira Marcovich lives in Kfar Saba and studied Multidisciplinary Art at Shenkar (2025). She works in photography and photomontage, starting from everyday architecture and objects and gently nudging them- via tiny exposure shifts, near-identical doubles, long exposures, and layered re-photography until a seam appears. Her language echoes analog grain with contemporary digital tools, seeking a quiet, poetic disruption rather than spectacle. Influences include Surrealism and cinema, especially Man Ray, René Magritte, and László Moholy-Nagy, whose experiments with perception, light, and structure inform the work. Her photographs hold the viewer at the threshold- between recognition and doubt.
