Shanina Touson

Art is an integral part of my life; it is the language through which I express what unfolds around me and within me. I create from a place of inner stillness and the unification of my various facets, striving for harmony. During the creative process, the medium becomes a conduit—a language through which I flow into dimensions of light and love. Textures—particularly those featuring white tones and gold leaf—deepen the meditative experience that accompanies the act of creation. My paintings embody a coexistence of stillness and storm, depth and majesty; movement blends seamlessly with tranquility. Many of my works evoke a sense of looking beyond the surface layer. The blend of deep contemplation, unfolding movement, and serenity creates a therapeutic atmosphere within the piece—one that aspires to touch the light. The works invite the viewer to perceive the whole and the unifying: the connection between the microcosm and the wider world, between external landscapes and the inner landscape, and between the individual and the surrounding existence. In this way, the viewer can personally experience a sense of connection to what is unfolding in both the external and internal spaces simultaneously.
