Revital Abramov

Creating through personal experience and observations of the human journey of love and of pain, the relationship and conflict between both, through the use of fauna and flora imagery. By pencil ink charcoal and other mediums Abramov attempts to encapsulate the soul’s passion and drive to devour its environment. For every passion there is a gamble with several possible outcomes and different points of view to contemplate. Among other surfaces Revital uses in her art her relation to paper is uniquely different, the gentleness it can tear in… the finite amount it can be engraved upon, like the soul… where is the limit truly crossed? Is it possible to return and fix what has been destroyed? In what ways can the soul be together with the outside world without losing its inner self? Some of these questions are debated from different points of view in her works. Rapprochement and estrangement. Separation and a strive to cooperate. The complexity of life’s cruelty, compassion and humour. These ideas and more are embedded and encoded to her works, alongside with optimism of an eternal inner child who believes in the true power of love.
