Moses Benekhis

Moses Benhis was born in Saratov, Russia, and immigrated to Israel at the age of 43, bringing with him a lifetime of artistic experience, emotion, and passion for music. From a young age, he was recognized as a gifted musician, performing in clubs and venues across major Russian cities including Samara, Saint Petersburg, and Moscow. After moving to Israel, he continued his musical journey, performing in dozens of cities throughout the country and captivating audiences with his unique style, emotional depth, and strong stage presence. Music remained at the center of his life for many years, until he felt a deep inner calling to express himself through painting as well. This marked the beginning of his visual artistic journey. What started as an intuitive passion soon evolved into a profound creative path. Working primarily with acrylic and oil paints, Moses creates striking and expressive artworks characterized by rich color, movement, and emotional intensity. He is especially inspired by the urban landscapes of Tel Aviv — its streets, architecture, lights, and vibrant human energy. Through his paintings, he captures the rhythm and poetry of the city, blending the harmony of music with the language of visual art. His works reflect a deeply personal artistic voice where sound, emotion, and color meet on canvas.
