Efrat Goldenberg

About

Efrat’s artistic practice is a journey of connections—a dialogue between color and texture, between the brush and the needle. Growing up in a creative home, her artistic identity was profoundly shaped by a defining childhood memory: wearing an exquisite white embroidered galabeya from the legendary 'Maskit' fashion house for her Bat Mitzvah. That piece of heritage instilled in her a deep appreciation for the art of embroidery, which has remained interwoven with her painting ever since. Her work oscillates between depicting garments inspired by the rich Bedouin textile tradition and direct Impressionist observation of nature and flowers. Through layers of paint and glazing, Efrat infuses her canvases with depth and movement, creating a personal dialogue between the legacy of the past and the creative expression of the present.
