Tel Aviv Between Worlds

₪4,000

Leaning towers, gridded windows, graffiti-covered facades, and clusters of red-roofed houses compress into a dense urban panorama. Acrylic paint on canvas combines sharply outlined architecture with layered, brushed color and hand-rendered lettering, shifting between order and improvisation. The tilted geometry and crowded scale create restless, playful energy suited to a living room, office, or dining area.

Jack Vainunska

Jacques Vainunska was born in Lille, France, in 1948 and moved to Israel in 1971. A self-taught painter and photographer, he has exhibited extensively in Israel and internationally. His earlier works explored urban landscapes, contrasting historic neighborhoods with monumental modern architecture. Over time, his practice evolved toward a more layered and contemporary visual language, combining portraiture, abstraction, typography, musical notation and symbolic imagery. His work draws on music, literature, Jewish and Israeli culture, memory and historical figures. Working mainly in acrylic, Vainunska builds his paintings through layering, revision and intuitive discovery. The result is a distinctive body of work in which figurative imagery, abstraction and graphic elements merge into a highly recognizable style.
