The Horse's Gaze
A horse’s face fills the sheet, meeting the viewer with a direct gaze as its mane spreads outward in restless linear marks. Layered gesso on paper shifts between dense black passages, soft gray modeling, and exposed white areas, giving the portrait a tactile, immediate character. The close composition creates a bold, attentive presence for a living room, office, or hallway.
