The Guarded Figure

A seated figure folds broad, incised hands across the chest, its elongated face reduced to deep-set eyes, a narrow nose, and a restrained mouth. Rough ceramic modeling, irregular edges, and an earthy brown surface emphasize the direct pressure of the maker’s hand. The compact pose creates a somber, introspective presence suited to a shelf, desk, or quiet living space.
