Red Thread Through Gray

Red Thread Through Gray

Haia friedman

$710

Broad white and muted teal forms sweep across a gray field, interrupted by black drips, circular impressions, yellow flashes, and a winding red line. Layered acrylic creates shifts between dense, textured passages and translucent scraped areas, while gestural marks keep the composition in motion. Its restrained palette and sharp accents bring focused energy to a living room, dining area, or office.

Haia friedman

Since childhood, color has always been a significant part of me. I used it to express my emotions and my inner world. Painting is where I channel my energies and this is what leads to the flow of the shapes on the canvas. After the initial explosion of paint, I continue to discover hidden images and so the dialogue between me and the painting continues. I use many types of different materials including some from the building world (such as a spatula), and a whole new world is discovered with many living layers. This is a free spiritual process that does not intentionally lead to a specific result. Painting is an expression of my inner soul through which I resonate to the outer world.
