Reclining Figure in Light

Reclining Figure in Light

Maureen Fain

$674

A reclining nude extends across rumpled fabric, one leg lengthened toward the edge while bent knees rise through the center of the composition. Transparent watercolor washes in ochre, brown, gray, and muted green leave broad areas of paper luminous, with loose contours and pooled pigment giving the body immediacy. The pale, spacious palette creates a quiet, intimate mood suited to a bedroom, living room, or private study.
