Figures Along the Avenue

Pedestrians and a wandering dog animate a broad city street framed by weathered façades, shopfronts, and yellow awnings. Layered oil paint and assertive dark contours give the architecture a tactile, timeworn character, while the largely monochrome figures create a steady rhythm across the foreground. Restrained color accents lend this urban scene an observant, contemporary mood suited to a living room or office.
