Upside Down World

Between an endless blue and soft rays of light filtering through the surface, a dolphin moves with natural confidence through the space that is her home. Above her—a freediver, inverted along his axis, observing, a guest in a world that is not his own. For a brief moment, the boundaries blur: who is watching whom? Who leads and who learns? The composition creates a shift in perception—the human positioned above yet suspended and dependent, the dolphin below yet free and self-directed. The human body is bound by breath and time; the marine being moves with quiet, almost meditative ease. Upside Down World reflects on perspective—the understanding that the place where we feel in control may in fact be a space of vulnerability, and that sometimes, to truly see, we must be willing to turn ourselves upside down.
