Two Worlds
The artwork divides the canvas into two distinct visual and conceptual poles, capturing a profound internal conflict. On the right lies a world of idle rest: a beach bathed in warm peach and sandy tones, where tiny, delicately sketched figures under umbrellas surrender to a moment of stillness and quiet. In stark contrast, the left side of the canvas erupts into a dramatic, turbulent realm of deep blues, purples, and turquoises, where palm trees sway and vibrate in perpetual motion. This striking division between the static warmth of the shore and the churning blue slope embodies the soul's eternal dialogue: the endless longing to stop, let go, and rest, countered by the deep, persistent currents of emotion and memory that refuse to stand still beneath the surface.

Gili is a creator and an art therapist, who views the act of creation as the most powerful tool for self-expression and a window into the depths of the soul. For her, art is an existential language and a direct bridge to the realms that lie beneath the surfaceโwhere words end and the subconscious begins. Her works, which range from motifs of the deep ocean and diving to organic landscapes and textures from nature, are built using a mixed-media technique of tangible layers and textures. This approach combines fluid, broad, and free-flowing stains of color with delicate, precise line drawings overlaid upon them. Through play with depth, transparencies, and materiality, she seeks to invite the viewer to dive into the atmospheric space she has created. Her purpose and mission in the world is to touch the exposed emotional layer of human beings, to evoke an inner resonance within them, and to help them experience and embrace life across its entire spectrum and complexity of emotions.
