Thistles Overlooking the Yavne Valley
Tall pink thistles rise across a wild foreground, opening onto cultivated hills, scattered buildings, and layered gray mountains beneath a quiet sky. Acrylic paint on canvas combines fine botanical marks with softened transitions in the distant landscape, creating a convincing sense of depth. Its earthy palette and measured atmosphere suit a living room, dining area, or office.

Rutie Kohen
Rutie Kohen was born and raised in Netanya. After getting married, she moved to Petah Tikva, where she raised her three children. For three decades, she dedicated her professional life to education, working as both a teacher and a school principal. Upon retiring, a new chapter began as she turned her attention to the world of art. Her artistic journey began with the study and exploration of various Folk Art styles. Over time, she gradually moved beyond structured forms and conventions, embracing a freer and more intuitive approach to painting. Through this process, she developed a personal artistic language that allows her the freedom to explore subjects, colors, and forms of expression in her own distinctive way.
