The Promise of Youth
A young lion cub looks out directly from the center of a cut wood slab, its pale muzzle and wide eyes set against rich concentric grain. Oil paint is applied in lively, visible strokes that model the fur with warm ochres, cream, and black accents, while the natural surface and bark edge remain integral to the composition. A captivating encounter between youthful innocence and regal potential
