The Dancer
A work rich in layers of color that combine soft transitions between shades of turquoise-blue, winter green, powder pink and warm ochre. The process of scratching, exposing and drawing vertically with a pencil divides the visual field, creating a sense of parallelism between two worlds. In the lower right part of the painting, a delicate and almost transparent double image of a dancer's silhouette emerges. The figure is revealed from the bright layers of color, almost like a memory or a visual echo and in contrast to the clear vertical line that serves as a constructive anchor against the softness of the colors and organic textures, creating a sophisticated balance between structure and freedom.
