Surf Over Painted Rocks
Foaming surf moves across a shoreline scattered with vividly colored rocks, with bands of turquoise water and white breakers stretching toward the horizon. Painted in oil on canvas, the work uses fluid brushwork for the sea and broader, sculpted strokes for the stones, creating contrast between motion and solidity. The bright palette gives the coastal scene an energetic, playful presence.

I am a painter who photographs my experiences and then transfers the experience in color onto canvas. Recently I decided to create between my memories from the past and my present. I was born in Tunisia and left my childhood and grandmother there. In my latest works there are connections between the little girl that I am and the woman I am today. A longing for childhood in the face of life and presence in Israel. I am not political, all the works are very personal and do not talk about immigration to Israel and so on. For example, in a certain work I connected my memories and feelings about places I have been to such as: India, Morocco and Santorini.
