Splitting of the sea
The Splitting of the Sea A richly textured sculptural artwork combining oil paints with modeling paste and palette knife techniques, creating depth and dimension in the towering walls of water. The artwork captures the great miracle of the Splitting of the Red Sea, while focusing on the personal journey of every individual from slavery to freedom. The small figures walking toward the light emerging through the clouds symbolize the Divine providence guiding the Children of Israel on their path to redemption, as well as the possibility for each person to overcome their own personal “Egypt” and break through their own limitations even today. I kept the tone suitable for an art gallery description in English, with a spiritual and emotional feel.
