Null and Void l - The fish
This work examines the use of symbols and superstitions as a psychological defense mechanism. The fish, an ancient mythic symbol of protection and fertility, serves here as an anchor, an attempt to grasp something tangible in the face of relentless anxiety. Layers of deep blue evoke a sense of diving into the unknown, while the fish stands as an amulet, a marker of protection within a world of uncertainty. A mixed-media painting combining watercolor and oil on canvas and linen strips, featuring a solitary fish set against a deep, multi-layered blue expanse, characterized by drips, incisions, and free-flowing marks.
