$1,569

A panoramic hillside landscape unfolds beneath a vast sky of rolling clouds, with clustered buildings, dark cypress-like forms, and shafts of sunlight opening across the scene. Oil on canvas allows the surface to move between soft atmospheric blending and deeper, weightier passages in the foreground. The contrast of radiant sky and shadowed land creates a contemplative, expansive mood.
