Jinn

“Jinn” explores the presence of a power that has lost its former status. Inspired by the figure of the jinn— a supernatural being from Arab tradition, created from “smokeless fire” and considered neither human nor angel—the work examines the boundary between strength and fragility. The solitary figure stands against dark, turbulent masses of ink, creating tension between presence and absence, control and loss. The encounter between the delicate linework and the heavy stains evokes feelings of loneliness, a fragmented identity, and the memory of a power that has gradually faded. The work invites viewers to complete the story through their own inner world.
