Between the Lines

This work explores the fragmented perception of self in a world of reflections and illusions. The woman’s face is seen through broken mirror shards, where each piece shows a different version of reality—both inner and outer. The sky, painted on the shards, becomes a metaphor for possibility, transcendence, and the freedom we yearn for behind the confines of identity. Painted first in acrylic and later in oil to intensify depth and luminosity, the work invites the viewer to read “between the lines” of expression, of emotion, and of lived experience. What we see is never the whole story—it is shaped by what is broken, what is hidden, and what dares to shine through.
