Anchored Under Stars
In Anchored Under Stars, a vast, heavy darkness envelops the canvas, masking the looming mountains and deep water in rich midnight hues. Yet, this complete surrounding shadow is precisely what allows the painting's hidden beauty to shine. The deep darkness serves as a dramatic canvas for three glowing secrets: The Illuminated Water: In the foreground, the dark recedes into a glowing pool of turquoise, revealing a lone paddleboard and tiny fish swimming just beneath the surface. Shimmering Shores: Warm golden lights along the distant coastline cast a glittering, amber reflection across the ink-black sea. A Starlit Sky: Above the shadowy peaks, the pitch-black sky breaks open into a dusty blue nebula dotted with stars and a faint shooting meteor. By enveloping the scene in deep shadow, the darkness acts as a veil, guiding your eye to these quiet, illuminated moments anchored safely in the night.

Marina Morozov
It started with a date I fell in love with, who brought me a sketchbook as a gift. My first drawing — I painted him, and then we broke up, and it hurt so much. After that, I searched for what else in life makes me feel that strongly, and what else I love. So I chose to paint landscapes of places I've visited that moved me, important people in my life, movement and the human body move me, and I paint them in dance movement or other emotional moments. It's very important to me to also convey my emotion through the medium of the painting, and my unique line, my energies.
