A Street in London

A Street in London

Haya White

$391

A broad pedestrian street recedes between ornate facades, café awnings, and strolling figures, with a sunlit tree drawing the eye toward the center. Transparent watercolor washes soften the pavement and sky, while crisp architectural lines and small color accents articulate windows, storefronts, and passersby. The scene feels lively yet unhurried, well suited to a living room, office, or dining area.

I was born in Kibbutz Tirat Tzvi situated in the verdant valley of Beit Shean. The climate is hot and dry during most of the year. My inspiration is largely drawn from my childhood memories of lush green fields, blazing hot summer days and the busy buzz of insects. My paintings express the bright colors of my surroundings bathed in the searing summer sunlight. Studied art at Kalisher school in Tel Aviv, graphic design and illustration at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem. I live in an old stone house, in the village of Ein Karem. Much of my time is dedicated to working on my paintings in watercolor. I paint landscapes, portraits and still life. “My work is deeply influenced by the magical play between light, color and shade found in nature’s terrestrial habitats”
