Pomegranates

Hadas Feigin

₪2,400

Whole and opened pomegranates emerge among winding branches and elongated leaves against a deep blue-green ground. Layered oil brushwork gives the fruit rounded volume, while crimson seeds, ochre skins, and violet-edged foliage create rich points of contrast. The horizontal composition feels lush and contemplative, well suited to a dining room, living area, or office.

I dreamed of being an artist from a young age, but I only began painting at 47, after immigrating to Israel. I studied art at Margarita Levin’s private studio for ten years. In 2008, I joined the Rehovot Artists' Association. Since then, I have participated in exhibitions around the world, including a group exhibition in England in 2009 and an exhibition at the Louvre Museum in Paris in 2011. I have also exhibited in Israel—in Tel Aviv, Haifa, Ramat Gan, Rehovot, and Jerusalem. Recently, I have been increasingly drawn to intuitive painting, as it allows me to express my emotions and impressions more fully.
