Grazer Above Stone
A slender horned gazelle lowers its head above layered, rock-like formations, set against a dark and atmospheric ground. Cut paper elements bring crisp contours to the animal while mottled gray, brown, and white passages create a richly varied terrain. The restrained natural palette gives the collage a quiet, contemplative presence suited to a study, hallway, or living room. The artwork is unframed. Framing and shipping are available for an additional fee.

AYELET ARNON
My name is Ayelet and i am a collage artist. I take piecesof things that already exist, such as images or colored papers, and put them together in a new way, but not randomly. Rather in a way that creates new meanings. I cut a piece from here and there and try to create a kind of world with new rules. For me collage is like painting. instead of painting with oil, acrylic or gouache, i paint with paper cuts. I use the colors, shapes, textures, and images from materials that already exist. The works emerge from an emotion, a question, or a particular subject that i am exploring. I look through images and ask myself what resonates with it, until i find something that feels "right" and look for the next "right" thing. the main work is to find the way they connected. What draws meto collage is the way it brings the unconscious content to the surface so directly. i never really know what i will discover through the connections i create, it is truly an adventure. A dialogue between my inner content and the content created by other people.
